However, if your theme lacks these options, you will need to edit your Tumblr theme code to add a background color or image to your blog.

Follow below steps to change background color and image of your Tumblr blog:

Step 1 : Go to Tumble Dashboard

Step 2 : Click on account tab and then click on your blog name

Step 3 : Click on Edit appearance

Step 4 : Click on "Edit theme." Now you can see both "Theme options" and "Appearance options."

• Under THEME OPTIONS, you can find the Background option.
• Click on the Background image button to add an image as the background image.
• Click on the circle button next to Background to choose a color and set it as the background color.

Step 5 : Finally, click on the "Save" button to apply the changes to your blog.

That's it! This is the simplest method to change the background of your Tumblr blog. However, if you are unable to locate the background settings in THEME OPTIONS, you will need to edit your Tumblr theme. Below, I will demonstrate how to do it.

Follow below steps to change/add background color and image to your Tumblr blog by editing theme :

Step 1 : After completing step 4 as mentioned above, click on "Edit HTML."

Step 2 : Search for "body {"

Step 3 : Add the following code before the closing tag of the "body {" section to add a background color:

background-color: #222222;

Step 4 : Add the following code before the closing tag of the "body {" section to add a background image:

background-image: url('your image URL');

Step 5 : Click on "Update Preview" and then click on "Save."

This is how you can add a background color and image to your Tumblr blog.

How to Schedule a Post on Tumblr

Note: Don't click on the Post button, as it will be published immediately.

Step 5 : Now you can see the post settings option. Click on Schedule, set the date and time, and finally click on Schedule.

It is simple to change your blog theme. There are different ways to change your Tumblr theme. Just click on the "Edit Appearance" option under the "Account" tab and then click on "Edit Theme." This will take you to the customization page where you can see the "Browse Themes" option. Below, I am showing the step-by-step procedure.

Follow below steps to change Tumblr blog theme :

Step 1: Log in to your Tumblr account.

Step 2: Click on the account tab on your Tumblr dashboard.

Step 3: Click on "Edit Appearance" under your blog name.

Step 4: Click on "Edit Theme" and then click on "Browse Themes."

Step 5: Find the theme you want and click on it, then finally click on the "Use" button to apply the theme to your blog.

Like this you can change your Tumblr theme. Tumblr providing both free and paid themes. So to find free themes after Step 4 you need to click on ALL THEMES and click on Free Themes. You can also use search box to search themes.

How to Add Pages to Your Tumblr Blog

You can create custom pages on your Tumblr blog, just like you can on Blogspot and WordPress. For every blog, it's important to create essential pages like the "About" or "Contact" page. In this post, I will show you how to create pages on your Tumblr blog.

Follow below steps to add pages to your Tumblr blog :

Step 1 : Go to your Tumblr Dashboard

Step 2 : Click on the Account tab on your Dashboard and select your blog name.

Step 3 : Click on Edit appearance and then click on Edit themes.

Step 4 : Under the THEME OPTIONS section, you can see the Pages Section.

• Just click on "Add a Page," enter the page title in the Page Title box, and then enter the page content below the Page Title.
• Before saving the page, enter the URL for your page in the box above the Page Title.

Step 5 : Finally, click on "Save."

Like this, you can add pages to your Tumblr blog. Tumblr allows you to create multiple pages. You can drag and drop to change the position of the pages on your Tumblr blog. You can also easily delete unwanted pages. To delete a page, click on the X mark of your page in the pages section.

You must add a specific title and description to your blog and also edit the blog theme to change the appearance of your blog.

Follow below steps to your Tumblr blog properly :

Step 1 : Click on Account tab on your Tumblr Dashboard

Step 2 : Click on "Edit appearance" under your blog name and then click on "Edit theme".

Step 3 : Now you can see APPEARANCE OPTIONS and THEME OPTIONS on the left side. Below Appearance Options, you can see Title, Description, and Avatar. Enter the Title name and add a small Description about your blog.

If you want to change your blog theme, then click on Browse Themes, select a theme and then click on Use to apply the theme to your blog.

Step 4 : Now under Theme Options, you can see different options to customize your blog.

• To add a background image to your blog, click on "Background" under Theme Options.
• Click on "Logo" to add a logo to your blog.
• Click on "Background" to add a background color to your blog. You will see two background options, one for an image and the other for color.
• To change hyperlink colors, click on "Inside Link" and to change link hover color, click on "Inside Link Hover"
• Click on the font name next to "Inside Text" and choose a font for your blog text.
• Click on "Inside Heading" to change post title font.

Try the remaining options in the same way.

Step 5 : Finally click on Save button to save changes.

How to Edit a Blog Post in Tumblr

In Tumblr, you have the ability to edit your blog posts. If you wish to update the content of a post, you can easily make the necessary changes. In a previous post, I demonstrated how to create a post on your Tumblr blog. Now, I will guide you through the process of editing posts on your Tumblr blog.

You can edit any specific blog post you have added to your Tumblr blog at any time by selecting the post and clicking on 'Edit'. This procedure allows you to modify any of your blog posts.

Step 1 : Go to your Tumblr Dashboard

Step 2 : Click on Account menu in your Tumblr Dashboard

Step 3 : Click on Posts under your blog name

Step 4 : Find the post you want to edit and click on Post Options button on bottom of the post and click on Edit

Step 5 : Now change/add content to your post and click on Save button to save your post.

Creating a blog post on Tumblr is a simple process. In Tumblr, you have the option to create multiple blogs and make posts on each blog individually. To create a post, click on the 'Make a post' button on your Tumblr dashboard. From there, you can select 'Text' to post text content, or 'Video' to upload a video to your blog. Similarly, you can choose other options like 'Photo' to post photos, and so on.

Additionally, you can also schedule a blog post on Tumblr. I will provide more information about scheduling later. Now, let me guide you on how to create a blog post on your Tumblr blog.

Follow below steps to create and publish a post on your Tumblr blog:

Step 1 : Go to your Tumblr Dashboard

Step 2 : Click on Make a post button on top right side of your blog dashboard

Step 3 : Click on the icon labeled "Text" to post text content

Step 4 :  Now post editor will open
               Enter post title name in the Title box
               Enter your text in the Your text here place

Step 5 : Finally click on Post to publish it on your blog.

Instead of immediately publishing a post on your blog, you have the option to save it as a draft, make it private, or schedule it for a later time. You can select these options from the drop-down menu on the right side of the Post button.

How to Create a Secondary Blog on Tumblr

You can create multiple blogs on the same Tumblr account. In a previous post, I demonstrated how to create a primary blog on Tumblr. Now, I would like to show you how to create another blog on your existing Tumblr account.

How to Create a Secondary Blog on Same Tumblr Account :

Creating a secondary blog on your Tumblr account is a straightforward process. Simply go to your Tumblr Dashboard and click on the '+New' button under the Account tab. Repeat this process to create additional blogs on the same account.

Follow below steps to make a secondary blog on your same Tumblr account :

Step 1 : Go to Tumblr Dashboard

Step 2 : Click on Account tab on your dashboard

Step 3 : Click on +New link

Step 4 : Now Create a new blog window will open
             Enter Tittle name in the Title box
             Enter blog URL in the URL box
             If you want to password protect your blog then check Privacy box
             and enter password in the below box or else leave it
             Check the box next to I'm not a robot

Step 5 : Finally click on Create blog

By following this method, you can create multiple blogs on your Tumblr account.

How to create a free blog on Tumblr:

You can create a free blog on Tumblr in just a few minutes. Simply sign up for Tumblr to create your first free blog, which will be your primary blog. Additionally, you can create multiple free blogs on the same account. However, it's important to note that you cannot delete the primary blog on Tumblr without deleting your entire Tumblr account. Therefore, it's recommended to take some time and plan your primary blog carefully before creating it.

Follow below steps to create a primary blog on Tumblr.com:

Step 1 : Visit Tumblr Home page

Step 2 : Click on Get Started / SignUp button on Tumblr home page

Step 3 : Enter Email, Password and Username

Step 4 :  Click on Sign up button

That's it! You have successfully created a blog on Tumblr. The username you chose will be the name of your blog. This is your primary blog. You can also create additional free blogs on your Tumblr account.

To create another new blog on your Tumblr account :

• Go to your Tumblr Dashboard


• Click on +New button
