Tumblr is a popular free blogging platform that allows you to create blogs, similar to platforms like Blogger and WordPress. However, Tumblr offers additional features and options. It provides both free and premium themes to enhance the appearance of your blog. In this post, I will guide you through the process of creating a blog with Tumblr, and later I will demonstrate how to create blog posts and customize your blog effectively.
How to create a free blog on Tumblr:
You can create a free blog on Tumblr in just a few minutes. Simply sign up for Tumblr to create your first free blog, which will be your primary blog. Additionally, you can create multiple free blogs on the same account. However, it's important to note that you cannot delete the primary blog on Tumblr without deleting your entire Tumblr account. Therefore, it's recommended to take some time and plan your primary blog carefully before creating it.
Follow below steps to create a primary blog on Tumblr.com:
Step 1 : Visit Tumblr Home page
Step 2 : Click on Get Started / SignUp button on Tumblr home page
Step 3 : Enter Email, Password and Username
Step 4 : Click on Sign up button
That's it! You have successfully created a blog on Tumblr. The username you chose will be the name of your blog. This is your primary blog. You can also create additional free blogs on your Tumblr account.
To create another new blog on your Tumblr account :
- Go to your Tumblr Dashboard
- Click on +New button
You also have the option to create a private blog on Tumblr. You can either create a new private blog or make an existing blog private. In the next post, I will guide you on how to create or make a blog private on Tumblr.
