How to Customize Your Tumblr Blog

You can change the look and feel of your blog by customizing it. Tumblr provides some basic options for customizing Tumblr blogs. After creating a blog on Tumblr, you must customize it properly before posting content on your blog. In this post, I will show you the basic customization options for your Tumblr blog.

Tumblr blog Basic customization :

ou can customize your blog title, description, or appearance. From an SEO point of view, basic customization is a must for every blog, whether it is on Tumblr, Blogger, or WordPress. You must add a specific title and description to your blog and also edit the blog theme to change the appearance of your blog.

Follow below steps to your Tumblr blog properly :

Step 1 : Click on Account tab on your Tumblr Dashboard

Step 2 : Click on "Edit appearance" under your blog name and then click on "Edit theme".

Step 3 : Now you can see APPEARANCE OPTIONS and THEME OPTIONS on the left side. Below Appearance Options, you can see Title, Description, and Avatar. Enter the Title name and add a small Description about your blog.

If you want to change your blog theme, then click on Browse Themes, select a theme and then click on Use to apply the theme to your blog.

Step 4 : Now under Theme Options, you can see different options to customize your blog.

• To add a background image to your blog, click on "Background" under Theme Options.
• Click on "Logo" to add a logo to your blog.
• Click on "Background" to add a background color to your blog. You will see two background options, one for an image and the other for color.
• To change hyperlink colors, click on "Inside Link" and to change link hover color, click on "Inside Link Hover"
• Click on the font name next to "Inside Text" and choose a font for your blog text.
• Click on "Inside Heading" to change post title font.

Try the remaining options in the same way.

Step 5 : Finally click on Save button to save changes.
