Adding Static Pages to Blogger Blog:

Create a page on Blogger
After creating a blog on your Blogger account, you can start posting articles and creating static pages on your blog. In this post, I'm going to discuss how to create and add static pages to your Blogger blog.

Generally, we can see static pages below the header on a website/blog. In Blogger blogs also, static pages will appear just below the blog header mostly. You can also add pages to your Blogger blog below your blog header. It is easy to create static pages on your Blogger blog, and you can create up to 20 static pages in your Blogger blog.

How to create static pages and add to Blogger blog :

For any blog, Contact and About Us pages are essential. You can also create Contact Us and About Us pages on your Blogger. Blogger provides the Page List widget to create static pages on your Blogger blog. By default, the Page List gadget/widget is already added to your Blogger, but the pages won't appear on your blog because the Page tabs are hidden by default. Therefore, the pages will not appear on your Blogger blog until you set the page tabs properly. So before creating static pages, you first have to make them appear on your Blogger blog.

How to make pages appear on your Blogger blog :

  • Go to Blogger Dashboard
  • Click on Pages
  • Click on drop down box next to show pages as
  • Select top tabs.
Now static pages will display on your Blogger blog. You can see Home page on your blog. Now you can start creating static pages on your Blogger blog.


Follow below steps to create and add static pages to your Blogger blog :


Step 1: Go to Blogger Dashboard

Step 2: Click on Pages

Step 3: Click on New page

Step 4: Give page Title name and Description in page editor box

Step 5: Click on Publish

That's it, you have successfully created a static page on your Blogger blog. Like this you can create static pages up to 20.

How to add a web address to your navigation bar in Blogger :


You can add web address or link to your page tags in your blog.

To add a web address or link to page tabs -
  • Click on Layout
  • Click on edit button of Pages widget
  • Click on + Add external link
  • Enter page tile in the Page tile box and web address in the Web address (URL) box
  • Click on Save Link

Like this you can also add external link to your page tags.

You can change the position of static pages on your Blogger and also you can customize static pages on your Blogger. Below I'm also showing you how to change the position of your static pages on your Blogger. Later I will also show you how to customize Blogger static pages.

How to move position of static pages on your Blogger blog:

By default, after enabling pages on your Blogger blog, page tabs will appear just below the blog header. You can also move static pages to your blog sidebar or footer. If you want to move your page tabs, first, you have to unlock the page list widget. Without unlocking your page list widget, you can't move pages on your Blogger. So, first, unlock and then drag and drop the page list widget anywhere in the Blogger widget area.

How to set the pages to appear on top :

To make pages appear at the top of your blog, click on "Pages" and select the dropdown menu next to "Show pages as," then choose "Top tabs." This will make your pages appear at the top of your blog, which is the default position for Blogger page tabs.

How to set the pages to appear on sidebar :

To make pages appear on your blog sidebar, select side links from drop down menu.

How to set the pages not to appear : 

At any time you can hide page on your Blogger blog with out deleting. Just select don't show option from drop down menu, then pages won't appear on your Blogger.


Like this you can create and add static pages to your Blogger blog and also you can change the position of static pages on your Blogger blog. Using above method you can create maximum 20 static pages. If you want more than 20 static pages another method is there to create more than 20 static pages on your Blogger.
