Google Analytics to WordPress :
There are two main ways are there to track your WordPress blog/website statistics. The two main ways are using WordPress plugins or using Google Analytics tool. Using Google Analytics tool is best method to track your blog/website statistics. Adding Google Analytics is not as simple as in Blogger . It is not hard , the process is same as in Blogger , but some what difficult if you don't know about Google Analytics. Like adding Google Analytics to Blogger blog we can add Google Analytics to WordPress blogs.
In the previous post I explained how to add Google Analytics to Blogger blogs , now we are going to be discuss about adding Google Analytics to WordPress blogs. The process is same in both methods i.e adding Google Analytics to blogger and adding Google Analytics to WordPress. The process is same up to getting site/blog tracking code from Google Analytics. Only difference is adding tracking code to templates.

How to Add Google Analytics to a WordPress Blog:
First create an Gmail account and sign in with that Gmail account and submit your sites/blog to Google Analytics and get tracking code . After getting tracking code just add that tracking code in header.php. You can also use Plugins to add Google Analytics to WordPress blogs. But in this post I'm explaining about adding Google Analytics to WordPress blogs using direct method i.e adding tracking code to header.php.
Follow below steps to add Google Analytics to your WordPress blog
Step 1 : Go to WordPress dashboard
Step 2 : Click on Appearance and then click on Editor.
Step 3 : Click on edit HTML
Step 4 : On right side click on header.php

Copy Google Analytics tracking code just above</head>
Step 5 : Click on Update File.
After adding Google analytics to WordPress, wait for 24 hrs and then log in to your Google analytics and click on reporting tab to see your site’s analytics.
