Generally, you can add videos to your blog using two methods: directly uploading videos to your blog or adding videos through YouTube. Adding videos to your Blogger blog with YouTube is the best and easiest method. Also, it is safe to add videos to your blog with YouTube.

Suppose you want to add your own video to your Blogger blog. In that case, first, you have to create an account on YouTube and then upload your video to your YouTube account. Next, get your video code from YouTube and add that video code to your Blogger blog.

Follow below steps to add YouTube videos to your Blogger blog

Step 1 : Go to YouTube and open video

Step 2 : Click on Share and copy HTML code

Step 3 : Go to Blogger Dashboard and click on Layout

Step 4 : Click on Add a widget/gadget and add HTML/Java Script widget

Step 5 : Paste video HTML code in HTML/JavaScript widget configuration box and click on Save.

Refresh your blog once, and now you can see the added video on your Blogger. Using YouTube to add videos like this won't slow down your blog. However, if you upload a video directly into your Blogger, your blog will slow down and take more time to load on the browser. So, it's better to avoid adding videos directly to your blog. You can also add YouTube videos to Blogger posts. It's easy to add YouTube videos to Blogger posts on the new Blogger interface compared to the old interface. You can see the "Insert a video" option above the post editor in the new interface, with that option you can easily add YouTube videos to posts.

• Go to Blogger Dashboard
• Open old post/create new post
• Click on Insert a video option on post editor tool bar (just below posts title text box)
• Click on From YouTube
• Search video and video link and click on select
• Click on Publish

How to add YouTube videos to Blogger posts in old interface

• Search video on YouTube and copy embed HTML code by right click on video.
• Go to Blogger Dashboard
• Open posts/create new post
• Click on HTML button on post editor to turn into HTML mode
• Paste YouTube video embed code in post editor box
• Click on Publish
