Add search box to Blogger

Adding a search box to your Blogger blog is a good idea to increase your blog page views and provide a convenient way for your visitors to search for specific content. Search boxes are particularly important for dynamic blogs/sites that contain a large number of articles. If your Blogger blog has a lot of posts, it's a good idea to add a search box as soon as possible. Fortunately, Blogger provides a search box widget that you can use to easily add a search box to your blog.

People often use search boxes on Blogger blogs to make it easier for their visitors to find the content they are looking for. With the help of a search box, it's much easier to locate specific posts from a large number of articles on your blog.

How to add search box to Blogger blog :

Two ways are there to add a search box to your Blogger blog. One of the best ways is to add a search box to your Blogger blog using the Blogger search box widget. The second method is to use third-party search box widgets. For Blogger blogs, I strongly recommend using the Blogger search box gadget/widget to add a search box to your blog because it is a simple and safe method. If you use a third-party search box widget code, you may sometimes encounter errors. Additionally, some of them may include their own blog/website link in the search box code.

Follow below steps to add search box on your Blogger blog.

Step 1 : Go to Blogger Dashboard.

Step 2 : Click on Layout

Step 3 : Click on Add new gadget

Step 4 : Add Search box gadget

              Title : give title name (appear above search box).

            Tabs : select This Blog (when the user search any topic through search box in your blog, then it will show the results related to your search query from your blog, not from out side of your blog)

If you select the Web,  then it will show the results from search engine (Google) and results will appear  inside your blog)

Step 5 : Click on Save

That's it. Now visit your blog and see the search box on your Blogger blog.

After adding search box to your blog, you can move that search box to any where on your blog. Suppose if you want to move the search box to your blog footer then simply drag the search box widget and drop on your Blogger footer. 

How to move search box : 

• Go to Blogger Dashboard 
• Click on Layout 
• Drag Search box widget and drop in any where of your Blogger.
• Click on Save arrangement 

We can also add a search box to a Blogger blog with 3rd party widget code. That method is also simple, but you have to obtain the search box code and then add it to your Blogger with the HTML/JavaScript widget.
