Creating static page in WordPress:
Generally, pages in blogs are static. Unlike blog posts, we can't categorize or tag the pages in WordPress blogs. Pages in blogs are commonly used to create Contact Us, About pages, and other similar pages. Static websites primarily use pages. Like creating posts, you can create static pages in your WordPress blog.
We have already discussed how to create static pages in Blogger. Now, I'll explain how to create a static page on a WordPress blog.
How to Create a New Page in WordPress Blog :
Before creating a page on your WordPress site, only the default Home page will appear. To create additional pages such as Contact Us or About Me, navigate to the Pages section in your WordPress dashboard and click on "Add new". Next, give your page a title such as "Contact Us" or "About" and add the content in the post editor box. Once you have finished creating your page, click on the "Publish" button to make it live on your website.
If you want to add HTML or script code to your page to create a custom Contact Us page, simply click on the "Text" tab in the post editor and then add your code.
Follow below steps to create a new page in WordPress blog.
Step 1 : Go to WordPress DashboardStep 2 : Click on Pages
Step 3 : Click on Add New
Step 4 : Enter Page Title and Description in page editor box
Step 5 : Click on Publish button.
Like this, you can create as many pages as you want. At any time, you can edit pages after creating them, just like posts. We can also set parent, template, and order of the pages in WordPress with Page Attributes, which you can see on the right side below the publishing button while creating a page.
In the next post, I will show you how to arrange pages on your WordPress blog menu.
