Follow below steps to setup a custom domain name on WordPress:


Step 1 :  Log in to WordPress blog dashboard
              Click on Upgrades , under Upgrades click on domains.
              Enter domain name and click on Add domain to blog
              If the domain you entered is already registered , you can get Nameservers
              If the domain you entered is not registered , you have to buy from WordPress.

Step 2 :  Log in to your Domain Registrar account, Add below Nameservers
              NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
              NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
              NS3.WORDPRESS.COM
              Give some time to update DNS settings.

Step 3 :  Now once again log in to your WordPress , Click on Try again message

Step 4 :  Click Map domain button and choose payment method and pay

Step 5 : After buying, you will redirect to domains page , Now select you domain name
             and click on Update Primary Domain.

Now you successfully added a custom domain name to your WordPress blog . From now onwards your WordPress blog will redirect to your custom domain. Like this you can set up any custom domain name to your WordPress blogs.
