By default, comments are enabled on all WordPress blogs. You should see a comment box below all your posts and pages on your WordPress blog. If you cannot see the comment box just below post/page content on your blog, then you should check whether comments are enabled on your blog or not.

How to Enable or Disable Comments in WordPress :

You can easily turn on/off comments on your WordPress site. Simply go to the Settings in your WordPress admin area and change the comments settings under the Discussion tab. These are the settings that will enable or disable comments on your entire site. We have already discussed how to enable/disable comments on specific blog posts and pages.

Step 1 : Go to WordPress Dashboard

Step 2 : Click on Settings tab

Step 3 : Under Settings click on Discussion link

Step 4 : Select both options as shown below.
  • Allow comments
  • Allow Trackbacks and Ping backs on this blog
Step 5 : Click on Save.

 If you want to disable comments on your WordPress blog, uncheck both options in step 4. This way, you can easily change the comments settings on your WordPress blog.

We can easily set up a static front page on WordPress blogs. To set up a static home page, first, we have to create a static page, and then we can set this static page as the home page in WordPress.

Step 4 : Next to "Front page displays," you can see two options. Now select "A static page" and choose any page you want to set as your front page.

Without changing the permalink structure of all pages in your blog, we can simply change the individual page URL structure. After entering the page title, a permalink will be created for that page. You can change the page permalink at the time of creation or after creation.

Like creating posts, you can create static pages in your WordPress blog.

We have already discussed how to create static pages in Blogger. Now, I'll explain how to create a static page on a WordPress blog.

How to Create a New Page in WordPress Blog :

Before creating a page on your WordPress site, only the default Home page will appear. To create additional pages such as Contact Us or About Me, navigate to the Pages section in your WordPress dashboard and click on "Add new". Next, give your page a title such as "Contact Us" or "About" and add the content in the post editor box. Once you have finished creating your page, click on the "Publish" button to make it live on your website.

If you want to add HTML or script code to your page to create a custom Contact Us page, simply click on the "Text" tab in the post editor and then add your code.

Step 2 :  Click on Pages

Step 4 : Enter Page Title and Description in page editor box

It is simple to move a blog post from one category to another in WordPress. You can move a specific blog post to another category manually or by using plugins.

To change the category of a specific blog post, open the post and change the category by deselecting the previous one and selecting the new one. You can also bulk move posts from one category to another.

  It is easy to create categories in a WordPress blog. To add categories, simply add the Categories widget to your WordPress blog. You can assign categories to your blog posts while publishing or after publishing the post. Once a category has been created and a post has been added to it, the post will appear under the specified category on your WordPress blog.

Step 1 : Go to WordPress Dashboard

Step 2 : Click on Posts tab.

Step 3 : Under Posts click on Categories link

Step 4 : Now the category creation window will open. Under the "Add new category" section, give a name and description for the new category.

You can also set a parent category by simply selecting any existing category from the "Parent" drop-down menu. This allows you to create a hierarchical structure of categories, with subcategories nested under parent categories.

Step 5 : Click on Add New Category.

You can create as many categories as you want. At any time, you can edit the category name and also delete it. After creating categories, the next step is to assign posts to categories. In the next post, I will show you how to assign a post to a category in WordPress.

Step 5 : Now select all posts and select Move to trash and then click on Apply.

You can also delete posts manually one by one, but it can be time-consuming. Using a plugin to delete all posts can be quicker, but unnecessary plugins may slow down your blog. The method I explained earlier does not require adding any plugins, so it is recommended to follow that. However, I will also show you how to delete all posts using plugins below.

Step 4 : Search for the Bulk Delete plugin and then install it on your WordPress site.

 "Bulk Delete" is a useful plugin that allows you to delete posts and pages based on various criteria. While you can use either of the two methods to delete all posts in your WordPress blog, I strongly recommend using the first method.

After publishing a blog post on your WordPress blog, the default author name "admin" will be assigned to the blog post. You can see the post author name below the post title on your WordPress blog. However, you can change the author name of your WordPress blog post.

The schedule option is useful for those who want to publish a post even when they are not online. For example, if you want to make a blog post publish on your blog after two days, create a post now and set the schedule date and time for that post. This option is especially useful for busy people.

It is simple to schedule a post on your WordPress blog. We have already discussed how to post and schedule an article on Blogger. Now, let's talk about scheduling posts in a WordPress blog. To schedule an old post, simply open it and change the date and time, and then click on "Schedule". You can also unschedule posts in WordPress at any time. If you want to publish a scheduled post immediately, simply unschedule it and then publish it.

The next step after creating a WordPress blog is publishing posts (articles) in your WordPress blog. Before publishing articles, it's important to select better titles for the posts. You can also schedule posts in WordPress, which is a useful feature. You can publish various types of content in your WordPress blog, such as text, images, infographics, videos, and more..

Step 1 : Go to WordPress dashboard

Step 2 : Click on Posts and then click on Add new

Step 3 : The post editor window will open. Enter the post's title in the "Post title" box above.

Step 4 : Write post content in body section

Step 5 : Click on Publish to publish article on your blog.

That's it! You have successfully published a post on your WordPress blog. Go to your blog and check the post content. You can also publish HTML code in your WordPress blog. To do this, click on the HTML tab that appears at the top of the post editor. This will turn your post editor into HTML mode. Now paste the HTML code and click on Publish.

If you insert HTML code directly in the visual mode and click on Publish, then the HTML code will be published as it is. But if you want to publish the output of the HTML code, then you have to enter the HTML code in the post editor after it has turned into HTML mode.

What will happen after enabling Google+ comments on Blogger blog : 
  • After enabling Google+ comments on your Blogger blog, readers must have a Google+ profile to be able to comment on your blog.
  • All previous comments through a third-party commenting system will be lost when switching to Google+ comments on Blogger.
  •  "Comments" tab will be disabled in your Blogger dashboard.
  • You can't moderate comments from the Blogger dashboard with Google+ comments enabled.
  • If you change the Blogger blog post URL, then existing comments on that blog post may disappear.
Before enabling the Google+ commenting system on your Blogger blog, it is better to know about the advantages and disadvantages of the Google+ commenting system. If you feel that the Google+ commenting system has more advantages than your previous Blogger commenting system, then only enable the Google+ commenting system.

To create a 4-column footer for Blogger, you have to make some changes to the footer section code in the Blogger template. With this method, you can also create a 5-column footer for your Blogger blog.
