How to create category in Blogger Blog :

Blogger does not have a built-in capability to create categories for blog posts like WordPress does. However, it is possible to create categories in a Blogger blog manually. There are several ways to do this, including using the Labels gadget, Link List, and Anchor tag. The easiest method is to use the Labels gadget. This gadget allows you to add labels to your posts and then display them as categories on your blog's sidebar.

Labels Gadget : The Labels gadget in Blogger allows you to categorize your blog posts on the platform. Once you add the gadget to your blog, you'll see a Labels option under Post Settings when creating or editing a post. This allows you to easily add labels to your posts and categorize them on your blog.

Follow below steps to create categories in your Blogger blog 

Step1: Go to Blogger Dashboard

Step2: Click on Layout

Step3: Click on Add a gadget and add Label gadget

Step4: Give label gadget name as Category

Step5: Click on Save gadget.

After installing the labels gadget on your blog, the next step is to create labels and add them to all your posts in your Blogger blog. Once you've added labels to your posts, you can see the label names under categories on your blog. This is one of the best methods to create categories on your Blogger blog.

Another method to create category with Link list gadget : 

The Link List gadget in Blogger can also be used to create categories on your blog.

Follow below method to create category with Link list gadget.

Step1: Go to Blogger Dashboard

Step2: Click on Layout

Step3: Click on Add a gadget and then click on + button next to link list gadget

Now, the link list widget configuration window will open. Configure it as follows:

Title : Category name

Number of links to show in list : if  you enter 2 then category list 2 posts in that. or Leave it blank to show  all links.

Sorting : select either alphabetical order or reverse.

New Site URL : destination page URL (ex http://blogname.com/post1)

New Site Name : give name, that appears on categories list (Ex: Sample name)

Step 4: Next, click on the "Add link" button and repeat the same process if you want to add another entry.

Output: 

Category name 

list name

Step 5: Save link list gadget.

When you click on list name(Sample name) it will goes to post1 page i.e http://blogname.com/post1. Like this you can create category on Blogger.
